Carbon Note is a minimalist, browser-based, offline-first live editor for compiling and rendering Markdown document markup, LaTeX math equations, and Mermaid diagrams. The service is provided entirely free of charge and executes locally in your browser workspace.

2. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

Your Content Belongs to You: We claim absolutely no intellectual property rights over the text, formulas, markup, or code you enter, render, or compile on Carbon Note. All generated layout previews, downloaded SVG vector drawings, and exported PNG snapshots belong completely to you.
No Data Scraping or Inspection: We do not capture, intercept, inspect, or upload your document source files to any external network resources. Your intellectual output remains yours.

3. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

As-Is Basis: Carbon Note is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We provide no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
LocalStorage & Cache Loss Disclaimer: Because Carbon Note stores all document content in your browser's local sandbox (LocalStorage), clearing your browser history, using incognito sessions, or performing factory browser resets will result in permanent local data loss. We are not responsible for any document loss due to browser storage limitations.
No Liability for Interruptions: Under no circumstances shall Carbon Note or its developers be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data corruption, or intangible business losses resulting from the use or inability to use this platform.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purposes, nor to execute automated crawling, scraping, or high-volume server attacks that could degrade the response speeds of the website or impose unnecessary loads on our content delivery networks.

本地存储与数据丢失免责：由于 Carbon Note 将您的文章数据保存在您浏览器本地独立的 HTML5 本地存储（LocalStorage）中，清空浏览器缓存、使用隐私浏览（无痕）模式或清空浏览器历史记录，均可能导致您的本地数据永久丢失。我们对任何由于浏览器缓存限制或丢失导致的内容丢失概不负责。
